Team data collection made easier....

Please watch the following to see how teams at Whitfield and Shiloh Hills Elementary Schools are synchronously accessing grade level data, utilizing Google Spreadsheets. They are leveraging some features of Google Spreadsheets to ensure more accuracy and efficiency in their data collection and monitoring of students.

The advantage to using Google Spreadsheets, is that there is one copy of the data with unlimited backups of each revision of the spreadsheet. Up to 50 different teachers can access the data at the same time, you even get to see what cell your colleagues are working in when you are on the spreadsheet at the same time (synchronously). The other added advantage is that it is accessible from any computer or any Internet enabled device. So you work on it at school, and then at night you can log in and continue working, say good-bye to flash drives.... yeah!

If you have any difficulty logging in to Google Apps, please contact the help desk (help_desk@wilsonsd.org)

I would also like to thank Joanne Soltis and Sharon Hill for the opportunity to work with them in finding a more efficient way to work collaboratively with their teams. If you are interested in utilizing a tool like this, please contact me for an appointment (mccchr@wilsonsd.org)

Here's a fun holiday video that shows you the real-time collaborative nature of Google Spreadsheets...
